JAN

Tell us about yourself.

I am a mother of two sons, and I have two grandsons and two granddaughters. I also have one great grandson. I work part-time as a Barristers Clerk.

What inspired you to be involved in this campaign shoot?

At the age of 75, I had never worn a wedding dress, so I was absolutely delighted when asked if I would participate!

What is your proudest achievement?

Starting my own business as an independent Barristers Clerk and being invited to the House of Lords by Lord Longford to discuss the effects of the set up of my business.

Which women inspire you the most and why?

Margaret Thatcher for her conviction over the Falklands War and becoming the first woman Prime Minister.

This year’s International Women’s Day 2024 theme is #InspireInclusion. What does this mean to you?

Women are being recognised for their abilities in the workplace and are showing they can do the job as well as a man. Onwards and upwards ladies!

I felt very pampered and well looked after. It was an experience I will never forget.

Almost made me feel I should get married for real!
