My name is Cindy and I am a bridal hair stylist based in Devon. I love to create styles that leave you looking and feeling like the best version of yourself. I was a hairdresser for many years before specialising in bridal hair. I got married myself 7 wonderful years ago, and have two amazing children. ​My vibe is relaxed and friendly. I like to bring a calming vibe to your dressing room.

What are your top tips to a Bride for choosing a hair stylist for her wedding?

My tips would be to do your research and look at the work of your chosen stylist, not just Pinterest styles. Instagram is a fantastic place to check out your suppliers, as you can see lots of real brides and behind the scenes shots.

Why do you recommend a hair trial? How soon before the wedding should a Bride have a trial? How should they prepare for the trial?

I always recommend a trial to my brides, as this is a great time for us to get to know each other and bring your hair visions to life. You’ll probably have inspo boards of styles you like, which is great for us to see at it gives us a guide to your dream hair desires. Trials should be around 2-3 months before your wedding date ,which will give you the best indication of how it will look on the day.

What are your top tips to a Bride for preparing her hair for her wedding day?

I would start by thinking about the colour of your hair - if you are looking for a textured updo, a few highlights can really make the style pop. A good hair routine of regular trims and professional hair care products can really help.

How long does Bridal hair take on the day? How soon before the ceremony should a Bride's hair be finished?

Bridal hair usually takes around 1 hour to style, give or take 15minutes. A rule of thumb is to have all hair & makeup completed 1 hour before the ceremony time, or 1 hour before the time you need to depart.

Tell us about your favourite client wedding.

I have to say I am very lucky to attract my ideal brides. Every wedding is completely different, I love weddings with that warm happy buzz in the morning.

How many client weddings have you been involved with?

I couldn’t count them all, but I aim for a minimum of 52 wedding per year and I usually hit around 70 per year. I truly believe quality is better than quantity.
